The Gateway to the Highlands
We leave Glasgow and within 40 minutes we’re on the bonnie banks. But instead of stopping where everyone else does (hello, tour buses), we head for the hidden side, the places only locals tend to go. Expect quiet shorelines, tree-framed views, and that magical feeling that you’ve stepped into a postcard… but one where no one else is standing in your way.

Wandering the Hidden Shores
Depending on the day and weather, we might:

• Explore peaceful shoreline trails

• Visit tucked-away bays perfect for photos

• Wander through ancient woodlands

• Discover waterfalls fed by mountain streams

• Walk to viewpoints overlooking the islands
   

This tour is gentle and unhurried. Ideal for travellers who love nature but don’t necessarily need to conquer mountains before lunch.

Optional Moderate Adventure
If you’re up for a little more movement, we can add:

• A moderate hike up a small hill for unbeatable views

• A quiet forest trail leading to a secluded loch

• A wild swim or paddle in a loch
   

Everything is flexible, you choose the pace, the style, the level of adventure.

Island Views, Wildlife & Stories
Loch Lomond is full of folklore, clan history, smuggling stories, and mysterious islands where ancient people once lived.
You’ll learn about:

• The legends behind the loch’s 30+ islands

• Clan feuds and battles

• Strange ancient sites

• Hidden wildlife that lives along the shores
   

Stories are woven throughout the day, sometimes dramatic, sometimes funny, always rooted in the land.

Lunch by the Loch
We’ll pick a scenic spot for lunch - a quiet beach, a viewpoint, or a peaceful forest clearing depending on weather and vibe. You can bring your own lunch, or we can stop at a local café/bakery along the way.

A Slow, Scenic Return
We’ll continue exploring lesser-known corners on the way back, with time for photos, wandering, or simply sitting in silence with the view (a surprisingly underrated travel activity).
