Mountains and wild places are where we feel most at home.
Wild Horizon Adventures was created from a simple idea: get outside, explore wild places and share the experience with other people.
I'm Calum, the person behind Wild Horizon Adventures — a qualified Mountain Leader with 18 years of personal experience exploring the mountains of Scotland and travelling further afield in search of adventure.
I've climbed, trekked and camped across some incredible landscapes, from the mountains of the Scottish Highlands, to high alpines of the Himalayas, and right to the roof of Africa.
Along the way I've learned that a great mountain day isn't necessarily about how high you climb or how far you walk.
It's about the experience.
The route. The landscape. The people you're with.
When you're heading into the mountains, experience matters. With Wild Horizon Adventures, you get experience you can rely on.
I've spent nearly two decades developing my knowledge of mountain environments, navigation, route planning and the realities of Scottish weather. As a qualified Mountain Leader, I take the responsibility of leading people into the mountains seriously.
That doesn't mean every day needs to feel serious. I believe the best guiding combines professionalism and good judgement with enthusiasm, humour and a genuine enjoyment of being outside.
I'll make the important decisions, manage the route and keep an eye on the conditions. You can concentrate on enjoying the adventure.
